buyers market !!
12/11/11 6:19 PM

now's the time to buy anything

most people don't have money for such expensive bikes.

here's couple deals i found... near nyc

12,690 1 877 205 9363

12,695 1 888 837 5767

go to CYCLETRADER.COM they have all the different prices there.

where i live 13,400 bl/blu 13,600 gr/se

good luck !!

PS. MAKE sure they just add tax, you have to shop around some dealers with lube you in the rear.... with the freight and set up..... never pay for that if possible.

I will bet you dollars to donuts that by the time those dealers delivery the bike, they will have added 2k onto the price, at least.

Though I know there are some high volume dealers churning 2012 Kawks out at near wholesale prices.

not if you sigh a contrac for that price you would be locked in i would hope.

one of those numbers i called few days ago said he had one in stock on the floor ready to go... one number i called also wanted to know if i wanted one in a crate... was'nt sure tha was allowed.

yes but the more riders that pay list price then we all pay more... im sure if you live the in a well to do town then you will pay more then msrp.

alot of dealers have closed in the last two years..so still is a buyer's market..i talked to dealers as far away as texas just to check on numbers of bikes available and even there where the weather is nice year round some dealers said they where just hanging on been real tough.

are you going to hammer down at that red light or cruise off into the sun set ?

wonder home many phone calls those dealers will get monday ? lol

privateer did you ever post the bikes you owned in my thread ?

if you looked over my post on bikes owned,, i learned over the years how to find daels.

my busa was purchased from a farmer way out in the boonies for 9200.00 1st year copper... and my r 1 i payed 9200.00 abd sold the bike for 11,400.

but when i was a teenager i worked for the yamaha dealership..... for the kids father who sold me the bike. motorcross was not cheap and ice racing and hare scrambles and enduros.

I've never known, in 40+ years of buying bikes, a dealer to offer a price guarentee contract in advance of the deal.

Dunno, maybe some do.

Anything I've ever signed was after we came to an agreement on price, to consumate the purchase. My method of locking the price in, and nothing is ever certain but most dealers are honorable, has always been to make a sizeable downpayment.

This C14 I'm getting is the first time I ever did not make a downpayment prior to delivery. The dealer told me I didn't have to since they know me well enough.

I doubt I posted to any threads about "what bikes have you, or do you currently, own?". I've mentioned it many times.

In my 40+ years of riding, the bikes I have owned (or had possesion of for a long time) have been: panhead Harley, Kawasaki - H1, H2, Z1, GPZ1100, ZX11, ZX10, ZX12, ZX14, and soon C14. I cannot even count the number of different bikes I've ridden but did not own.

I've gotten to the point in my motorcycling I don't care about haggling over price. If I want it, I get it from the place closest to me. If I have to pay more, so be it.

I've had supercars that I had to drive 3 hours just to get a tune up done. After I grew up, I realized what a crock that was. I could use the 6 hours of driving and entire day lost for much better things.

yes they do.. pretty simple you leave a deposit and then pay the balance when they deliver the bike... that's the way it worked on all my bikes.

after you agree on the price.

In 2003 I bought a zzr1200,I had a signed contract 0% finacing for a year. The dealer made a mistake as that bike was not eligible for 0%.He honoured the contact, but wasn't too happy .

Yes, darryle, I have signed Go Green 0% contracts myself in the past. In fact, my ZX14 was on one.

They aren't price guarentees. They are financing contracts which determine how it will paid for.

In any case, I don't care if I can save $800 by going to a different dealer, or by haggling with one. Over the lifetime of my 2012 C14, for example, I doubt $800 would make any difference.

The best deal I was offered for a green model (ZX1400ECFA) was:

$13639 for bike to include all dealer fees
$204 for centerstand (not installed)

I'm doing a out-of-state purchase so he's not collecting the taxes and I'm taking the MSO to my county tag office to get the title. I'll have to pay 7% sales tax there.

I think Kawasaki has 3.99% financing which I may enquire about also. But for now it's a waiting game. I expect delivey in January.
